Barn finds are not random - each one sits behind a specific Discover Japan Explorer Stamp tier and a physical search zone. This page explains the tier system, names the barn find cars we can currently confirm, and separates barns from treasure cars.

Progress your Explorer Stamp before searching for a specific barn
All 15 Forza Horizon 6 barn finds are gated behind your Discover Japan Explorer Stamp rating. If you are driving to a barn location from an old video and finding nothing, the most common cause is a tier mismatch, not a wrong location - the search zone simply has not unlocked yet.
The 7 Explorer Stamp tiers
Barns unlock in waves as your rating climbs through these tiers, in order. Each tier reveals a new batch of search zones on the map.

| Yellow | First tier - unlocks the earliest barn search zones. |
| Green | Second tier, reached through continued Touge, Street Race and Story Event progress. |
| Blue | Mid-tier; more of the map's barn zones open here. |
| Pink | Past the halfway point of the Explorer Stamp track. |
| Orange | Late-game tier with fewer remaining barns. |
| Purple | Second-to-last tier before Gold. |
| Gold | Final tier - the last barns and the Master Explorer achievement unlock here. |
Steps
Four steps to actually find one
- 1 Raise your Discover Japan Explorer Stamp rating first - barns will not appear on the map until you clear the tier gate they are attached to, no matter how close you drive.
- 2 Build Explorer Stamp progress through Touge races, Street Races, finding Mascots and playing Story Events; there is no single fastest activity, so treat it as a byproduct of normal play.
- 3 Once a barn's search zone appears, look off dirt paths and inside tree lines within that zone - barns are deliberately tucked out of direct sightlines from the main road.
- 4 Cross-reference the region name (Nangan, Shimanoyama, Hokubu, Takashiro, Ito, Minamino or Ohtani) against your zone marker before assuming a barn is missing; each region only holds a subset of the 15.

A retro Nissan city car, unusual among barn finds for being a small, low-power collector piece rather than a performance car.
Nissan R390 GT1
A road-legal version of Nissan's Le Mans GT1 race car.
Toyota 2000GT
A classic 1960s Japanese GT car and one of the more sought-after restorations in the barn find set.
Mazda #55 787B
Liveried after the Mazda that won the 1991 24 Hours of Le Mans - a headline barn find for endurance racing fans.
Honda NSX-R GT
A race-prepared NSX variant.

A special Tomica-liveried Skyline.
Barn finds vs. treasure cars
These are two separate systems that guides sometimes lump together. Barn finds need Explorer Stamp progress and a physical search inside a zone. Treasure cars need neither - all 9 are visible from the start of the game as a purple map icon. See the treasure cars tracker for that list.
Where the regions sit
Barns are spread across the Nangan, Shimanoyama, Hokubu, Takashiro, Ito, Minamino and Ohtani regions. Use the map tracker to confirm which regions you have fully explored before assuming a barn in an unexplored region is missing.

How many barn finds are in Forza Horizon 6?
There are 15 barn finds hidden across Japan. Each is a free car unlocked by physically finding the barn after your Discover Japan Explorer Stamp rating reaches the tier that reveals its search zone.
Why can't I see a barn find on my map yet?
Barns stay hidden until your Explorer Stamp rating clears the tier gate attached to that specific barn. The tiers run Yellow, Green, Blue, Pink, Orange, Purple and Gold in order, so a barn tied to Orange will not appear while you are still on Blue.
Are barn finds the same as treasure cars?
No. Barn finds are gated behind Explorer Stamp progress and hidden inside a search zone you have to physically search. Treasure cars need no progress gate at all - all 9 are visible on the map as a purple icon from the start of the game. See the treasure cars page for that separate tracker.
